Check the basics...... Belt, hoses, fliuds .etc...etc.... I'd also check the suspension bushings and make sure 4-low works... If there are records glance over them........u-joints.......

Spend alot of time underneath the truck( bring some old clothes and a flashlight ), look for leaks, prior offroad damage, a LR passport to service book in the owners manual to tell what kind of service history it has. Also, look for major rust in the footwells, around the alpine windows, chassis, rear fender wells, sills, and while your at it pull up the rear carpet and inspect for any moisture buildup. Oh, and make sure that all the electrics, cruise, air, etc. work.
