Hey guys. New to the form.
Pick my disco up at a steal but it came with her demons and the 4x4 is one of them. The diff lock works just fine but when I try to engage 4x4 H/L the knob won't budge. I have tried spraying the linkage with lube but with no luck. Help!!!
Thanks, Cheers
Note. It does have a 3in block lift.

Shifters commonly seize up usually from a lack of use
Spraying it might not do the trick. You will likely need to pull it out work it loose and free. Then repack it in lube.
Are you talking body lift or suspension lift using block type spring spacers?

i dont mean to make anyone look like an idiot but you are putting it in nuetral before shifting right? also i think there is a problem with the shift lock soleniod not working on the transfer case and needs replacement. but i would pull it out and work first since they do seize from lack of use most often. mine didnt work but i was lucky that it was just a few bare wires on the relay behind the glove box shorting out the fuse so it wouldnt work the shift solenoid.
