i hope one one of you guys can help me.
i need to check/replace the cam belt on my newly acquired 200 tdi disco. trouble is im stuck in the canary islands with next to no tools and no workshop manual. i can see that removing the fan could be troublesome. does anyone know if its a conventional or a reversed thread? also what size is the retaining nut and what is the easiest way of stopping the pulley rotating as try to remove the fan? can anyone think of anything else i might have trouble with whilst getting the timing belt cover off? will the cover require a new gasket? will i need any special tools in tackling the job. thanks for reading this. jim. |
