Well first of all, I had that problem after I replaced my stepper motor, and some other electronic goodies. I replaced them without unplugging the battery, or something like that,

. I was told the only way to fix the idle was to have the adaptive memory purged. Also check your pcv hoses, they could be clogged!..... BUT....... that was about 10,000 miles ago! She has done this twice to me in the last 1000 miles. Only for a short time, and when I turn the engine off, and start back up, she is all normal. I do have a check engine light on again, that was after a misfire, not sure what caused that, I have changed the speed sensor, could be ecu fuel prom. I would have your local independant rover shop put it on a diagnostic!
