Default 3 codes anyone know what to do?

this is a cut and paste form another post..
my truck is down and I am looking for some help.

Rovers North called me and asked me to check the o2 sensors.

I picked up a OBD2 Reader @ Auto Zone and got 3 codes
I don't know what they mean??

1) P1373 said, Ignition misfire OR Mfg Controll Ignition System Misfire.

2) P1371 said, Ignition misfire

3) P1316 said, Ignition misfire

so, does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

Thanks All,

Rudy R.

You got a ignition misfire. No dip. The codes usually point to which cylinders. If you are getting more than one, I am guessing the wires are not placed correctly and are getting some ignition crossfire.

Inspect and Clean your electrical connections. If you see green stuff, it is corrusion and you can either clean it and replace the dielectric goop with fresh stuff or change everything. Ditto with the top of the plugs.

The third is a witch message stating the misfires are effecting emissions. Check your wires before you check your coilpack or coilpacks.

Rudy,
What sort of maintance do you give your truck????
Have you replaced yor cap/rotor, plug wires, plugs or O2 sensors in the last 25,000 plus miles?
You may also need to do a good engine flush and decarboning on your truck after you fix the main problem, you'll find it makes a hugh difference on an older engine.

I have my truck serviced every nov/ dec. for the last three years something happens to it about then. my service is done by British Car Service in Los Angeles By LAX.
I had a compleate tune up last year, so all the wires had been fine. I will check it out.
the only thing that I have not changed are the 02 sensors.

I guess I will need to take it in..

thanks all

All of the codes are spark related. No oxygen sensor codes other than the emissions error.
