Default 300TDI belt change

Hi,
I have recently bought a 1997 300TDI discovery. Its quite a minter too, one owner and service history etc.
However the owner said the cam belt needs changing in 10k miles or so.
I have taken the other drive belts off and i aint to happy with them so am wanting to progress n change the belt.
I have a workshop manual for the 300tdi, but would like to hear some advice and tips from anyone who has done this.
Stuff like what you dont need to take off etc and stuff that if you do makes life easier. I was planning on using some 3/8th bar to lock the injector pump (lrt -12-045) and use an old tranny plug with a 3/16th hole drilled to put a drill bit through to lock the flywheel( lrt -12-044). The only thing i am having trouble sorting at the moment is the front crank pully holder, lrt -12-080. Do i need this or is there a way round this.

Any advice n tips will be appreciated.

Also i have noticed there is some cam belt improvement kits available, how do these improve???

Cheers,
Paul
