Being as how I am not afraid to cut body parts (cause I'll end up smashing them anyway) I have decided to go with a 2" body lift to see what I can stuff under there. Then if I want to add more later I can always add a 2" or 3" suspension lift. Thanks for all the feedback and "debates" I started. Was interesting and informative. Any one on here ever come to SD for wheeling in the Black Hills? If so, let me know have some beautiful country and trails!!

It is only one guy. And yes he did flop at nationals.

His diff gaurds and other stuff is very stout. I have bashed the crap out of diff gaurds and have had no problems.

Yeah, I saw those goofy looking red things. I hated them. Big and dumb looking. Besides that, it's a total rip off of the QT guards. Those Guards defeat the purpose of even going to a bigger tire as thay hang down like a potato plow; no wonder you bash the shit out of it.

I still would rather have it than not on the rocks we have out here. It sticks down less than 1/2 inch lower than without it.

1/2" is the difference between a 30x9.50 and a 31x10.50.

This is the way to go.

Don't worry about what, hitting your diff? I don't think bigger tires is going to do much.

What are Portals?

EDIT: Never mind I actually do know what they are, just momentarily forgot, lol. Yes you are correct it does, although I hadn't realised. I don't think any of the other LR's pictured have Portals though.

Actually I'm not sure these are the same vehcile, the one you posted doesn't have a UK number plate, plus the springs are a different colour, and the stickers on the front wing are different. Also has the Discovery in your picture got rear wheel steering?
