94 Discovery stalling out - Land Rovers Only

new to this site I have a 1994 Discovery Land rover it keeps staling out .My mechanic said he may not have a proper scaner .I am in the back woods of Calif. what can I do.

Where do yo live exactly? do you have a check engine light on, do you know where to check the codes? Your truck doesn't use a scanner cause it is the older OBD1 system so there is a small box under the passanger seat that will give you the codes on a led read out, check it out and get back to us.
