I have a 95 disco, i am trying to replace the heater control unit. I think I have to remove the radio. to get the old unit out and the new one in. Do I need special tools for this? Do I need to know any codes other that the code to make the radio work again after the battery has been disconnected.
Thanks for your help. MTMTWMN |

you need Ford radio tools. they are two u shaped pieces of metal.
You can get them at any local parts store. Only down side is the radio will lose its code after disconnecting it. If you dont have it I would recommend waiting until you do. you wont have a radio for a while. You have to get it from the dealer. What is the problem anyway. |

Thanks for you help! You guys are great. The heater was only working on certain speeds and the blower doesnt seem to be working at all. So I bought a new heater control unit and i hope that does it.. I have the radio code. Just making sure that was the only code i needed before i unhooked everything:
