Can you help me out I got my Disco 6 months ago its a 95 with 52000 miles on it I need to change my transfer case fluid Where is it located and is it easy to get oo?? Do u know what size it is is it like the rear diff 1/2 in rachet I aam lost on this sorry for silly question.. Let me know

Hey Dude
On the passenger side of the transfer case (transfer gearbox in Land Rover jargon), on the side parallel with the doors, there is a drain plug and a square check plug (it may be the other way around), once you notice the square plug the other should be easier to find. If you'd like you can email me and I will attatch a pdf to the reply that I have from a Land Rover manual that has a diagram of what I'm talking about. Another interesting note is that the transfer case uses 80 or 90 weight gear oil. Hope this helps and feel free to email me. |
