Default 95 fuel pump prob?

I have a 95 v8i disco. When driving on the highway the engine will stall and quickly recover. This happens about every 3 to 5 miles. I've replaced rotor, cap, plugs, and wires. I checked for codes and there were none. Tested tps and it was ok. I checked fuel pressure and it was around 27 and when the motor (hickupped) the pressure would drop to 15psi. Has anyone had this kind of problem? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Check the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay. If you jump a short around the relay, and the problem disappears, youhave a hiccuping relay.

does it hiccup if the vehicle goes over a bump, try shaking the relay.

it could be a loose connection or an open one that is getting bumped/

I bypassed the relay and drove the truck about 5 min. no hickups at all. Then the service engine light came on. I pulled over and put the relay back in. The problem immediately returned. I have two relays on order that will be here next week. Hope that's the problem. Thanks for your help guys!

I've changed the fuel pump relay and the problem still exists. Do I need to change the fuel pump now?

Check the pressure level of your fuel pump, read your codes, reset the ECU and read your codes again. Your codes should give you plenty of clues.

Hey ,, just wanted to add .. You might want to remove the fuel pump harness ,,to the pump + make sure to look at the base of the wiring pins + make sure they are not brown. Will need a new harness ,,if they are ..

next time you suspect the pump tape a fuel pressure gauge to the windshield and drive around and observe it.
