96 Deal or No Deal - Land Rovers Only

I've just seen a 96 Disco with approx 100K miles. Seems to have most options, though I have not opened the doors. (Except it does not have full roof rack and rear step) They want $3965 for it. Wheels look good, tires have 85% left. Underside, from what I can tell looks okay, nothing is "wet" and nothing is pooled on the ground. Have an 03 Disco, but thinking about a play toy to throw money to that's growing from the tree.

Well, I gave 1700 for my 99 with 146k on it, and it needed some work. It has all the options except for the sunroofs.

The 98 I just bought has 105k on it, but looks showroom. I gave 2900 for it. It's fully loaded and has every option.

Hmmmm, maybe not a good deal. I also saw a 00 for $6500 and a 98 for $3900. I figure if they sit lonf enough and gas remains high (which it will), sooner or later, they'll want to dump them.
