Default 97 XD value?

Hey, I'm just throwing out a feeler for the value of my 97 XD. (It is NOT for sale...yet) It's in real nice shape, 140k miles. New tires, nice paint(getting the hood resprayed and new blackout decal) All original XD, no non XD mods. No drivetrain clunks or strange noises. All fluids changed regularly. Since I got my vw I realized I don't need 2 daily drivers so I'm in the market for a nice 88/109 or early 110/90. Soon to have all new rear inner fenders as well.

Here's a pic of Dad(TerryS) and I with it. I'll get some more pics up if anybody wants to see more. Thanks

yes he is right, with high mileage even the most sought after vehicle will not fetch a high price.

Your nearing the ten year mark though. IF a vehicle is ten years old or more and you drive it less then five hundred miles a year it does qualify for collector car status.

Its cheap insurance but you need to contact your insurance company about it.

When you assign a value to said vehicle, I may give it a new home. I really want to add an XD to the stable. If you are considering vintage Range Rovers, I have a three door in great shape that I may part with.
