air conditioner on 95 Disco - Land Rovers Only

Hey y'all

I got my disco in dec 04 and wanna recharge ac system .Does it have the old or the new r13 stuff. It is stock and never in any paper work does it state that it was ever serviced Let me know

The gas in your truck should be R12, as the new gases 134A did not make an appearance until much later. I think it manufacturing it in the US was banned in 1996. Re charging with r12 is somewhat expensive as it is now difficult to find, however, if you can still get it, use it, as I think it does a better job. The other alternative you may wish to consider is doing a retro fit to suit 134A.
