Default Another Sir John Lucas, Lord of Darkness moment?

Well, yesterday my wife called me from somewhere out shopping and said when she turned on the heated seats, the radio quit and the dash electronics (tach, etc) stopped working. She turned off the seats, the radio came back on, but the dash electonics didn't, but when she hit a nasty dip in the road - you guessed it, things started working again. She also says the heated seats don't work all the time.
Of course the logical solution is don't use the heated seats - but I'm not ready to address that with her. Any thoughts on what gives????

A poor connection somewhere, switch circuits on and wiggle looms till you find it.Why is it Lucas instantly get the blame for all electrical faults on English cars - if you look over your car most of it is Valeo,Marelli or Bosch.

Thanks for the thoughts, I'll try it. The reason I immediately blame Sir John L is because I've been driving and wrenching my TR6 for the last 33-years.

That makes sense - I had 3 Dolomite sprints and a Mk3 GT6 in my youth, not much that sounds as good as a Triumph straight six !
