Default Anyone using hood pins?

About a year ago, my rover was in two back to back accidents. First the front drivers side, then the left. Since the budget doesn't allow for new body panels at this time I pulled the fenders and used the sledge hammer. The point is: the hood is tweaked and the fenders are garbage. Still, I can't help but drive it. The hood latch works, but the hood really shakes at freeway speeds. I was thinking of just putting some hood pins on for the time being. What do you think? Has anyone done this? Any suggestions for the pins.

Pangea expeditions used to carry a set of pins, but they don't seem to be doing much anymore. Pangaea Expeditions gear and accessories

Seems to have worked out. I got some pins from Auto Zone and an hour later, no more shakin' hood.

Seems like what you needed was maybe a HD bull bar and that damage just might have been minimized. Maybe a justification you are looking at?

"But honey," he says, "a front aftermarket HD winch bumper (and a rear metal bumper) would have kept this damage to a minimum. We don't want anything else to happen do we?"

Sorry about the damage.

Doctor says preventative treatment is always best...
The true sad part is that the first accident happened on a day when I was going to Moab to mountain bike. My wife wanted the disco, so I let her persuade me to take her father's jeep comanche instead. As I was getting on my bike to head out to the trail I got the call. "I just wrecked the car." As if it wasn't lame enough to be in Moab with the comanche instead of the disco...
