Brakes acting up! ABS problems?

Ever since the long weekend my trucks abs light has not come off, whther a sensor got damaged or not is not known, well the last few days its been acting ackward. Once I start the car and start acelerating the light will sometimes come off, BUT! the brakes go commando, they stop working and its almost like pressing against a brick wall, the pedal doesn't move until i give it a bit more thrusts when it eventually kicks in and the abs light comes smilingly back on, other than that the cars brakes work well again.

Has anyone had this problem? If so, please help, oK!! I know others had the problem so any help would be nice.

Sometimes abs sensors can come loose over time and will cause it to act up.
At least its worth checking. If you pull the front wheels off there easier to get to but you can actualy tap them down around the edges just don't Fup the wires.
