ok so here is it...it doesnt look THAT bad...im guessing its on a front hitch or something...i dont think its only on the bar.

if you want a winch and want to keep your factory bull bar, DAP has couple of choices that will fix under the the front bumper. problem is you'll lose out in your approach angle by quite abit

ok well my thing is, i dont have anything, like at all, no factory brush gaurd or anything, and i would like to increase my approach angle too, i keep smashing in the front

I have been working on turning a stock D1 into something more rugged. here is a picture of the front end. DAP is a one stop shop. Bearmach from England does most of the manufacturing.

The A.R.B bar is engineered to a standard and are an amazingly strong bar,I have lifted the front of the vehicle off the ground while winching it up a cliff that it could not get up. Over here in Aust you can buy really good looking,shiny aluminium bars, there is nothing funnier than when the bar breaks in half and smashes into the back of the recovery vehicle. The company I used to work for had an A.R.B bar on the front of a normal sedan size pickup, it hit 5 things that hop and was still drivable. It sold me on them.

Yep, thats a D1 my friend....i had the same reaction when i saw it..must look even better on our trucks since we got the Black endcaps and spoiler

These pictures are from Rovertym.com, I'm NOT saying ARB is bad, but I just thought you would be interested in seeing them. Hey Rov'n, have you tried looking at rovertym.com for some Bumpers? Here's a pic that I thought you might like, well if you dont like it, there are others avaible also.

Here are the ARB pictures, its not to say they are bad or not, but its interesting to look at.

Is that a tree stump under the bumper it looks about 10'' diameter compared to the tyre, go and buy a new bar and try it again I think you will get the same result. If you want to play bulldozer get a piece of railway track or a heavy C section bumper possibly 6'' x3'' x3/8'' should do the trick. But you may have to upgrade the front springs.

Have you looked at TJM? I have a Series 1 Disco with a TJM bar fitted. Personally I think they look better than the ARB job. From what I have heard (and read), stay well clear of the Land Rover Bars - they shake themselves to pieces in tests down-under.

Do a search on AliArc. They make some nice stuff. You can also check with Road Armor. They make some real heavy duty bumpers for trucks. Not sure if they have one for the Discos, but worth a try.
