Notice the bottom plastic part is removed and the two end peices were trimmed
The HD bumper is just a Stronger bumber that is most likely winch capable and has couple recovery points on them |

Moses gave you a ggod example of a HD bumper, here is my verision of a home made HD bumper, in my case it is on a DII. By the way, my now 3 year old bumper is not so shinney any more.
This could be considered overkill. Mike |

Mike, that is VERY nice, and Like Mo's, a High Quality Built! I like the touch with the diamond plating. You guys gotta post some welding tips. Those bumpers look GREAT!

That was one of my first modifications and if I had to do it all over again, I would have used 2X4 instead of 2X6 box steel. Works great, a little heavy but guaranted to destroy what ever gets in my way. Plus it was more fun making then triming off some of my lower bumper skin. A year and a half later I did the rear and went lighter but equally as strong. Mike |

Moses,
I like that rear bumper, very clean and functional and it fits at all the right places. Well it looks like we are set, maybe we can motivate some others to build their own. Mike |
