Exclamation A/C Problems right in the middle of Summer!

Well... I'm no A/C mechanic so I will definately need help from anyone and everyone. Shortly after getting the truck, the fan control on the dash went retarded...it felt as if the controls aft of Pos. 1 shifted out of the selectable range. So now..no matter where you place the selector...the A/C only works at the speed it would as if it were in Pos. 1. What's more..you have to work the selector into the right spot for it to make contact and get the A/C to work...

That's Prob #1...

Prob #2 is...

Now my A/C wont work. When I try turning it on, the compressor works and you can hear what sounds like gas being fed through the lines but then nothing. Nothing comes out of the vents...(YES the vents are open..lol). I'm looking at my manual and but I'm a little confused...

My common sense tells me that if I hear the gas charging and the compressor is working..there must be some sort of fan or "BLOWER" that's not functioning, but after looking at the first Diagram showing the A/C components, I only see the Rear Evaporator/Blower Motor...doesnt show anything about a blower near the dash erea.

Does the Evaporator shown as #4 also contain the blower motor for the front?

Someone please help me out before I pass out driving in the near 100* temps!

Thanks Guys!

The front blower motor is fried. On a D1, I believe it is located behind the glove box.

Just got in from working on the truck. Found a TON of leaves crammed underneath the Blower blades. Also narrowed down the blower motor speed problem to a resistor thats about to go bad. Going to be calling steve for one of those bad boys.
