camshaft replacement

just put truck back together after installing a crower cam kit from d&d. it was not a motivated project. the truck sit in pieces for close to 6 mos. anyway, now that all is back together, it runs like crap. idle wont hold (tries to die), runs rough (whole truck shakes) when idle does hold, sputters a bit when letting off after a rev, and shakes quite pronounced when driving with little power.

have got and cleared p1313 a few times and even got it blinking once. afraid to drive it any further to see if more codes will be shown.

have checked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner and blowtorch with none found. swapped out cmps with another....no change.

wondering if it could be adaptive values needing to be reset or timing being slightly off. marks were lined up but old t-chain was quite stretched so i was not completely confident (should have checked tdc...huh).

truck ran fine before dis-assembly (other than the loud tapping...of course).

thoughts, suggestions, advice? the closest rovacom is 2.5 hrs away and the truck would have to be trailered with borrowed equipment. sooo.....hoping to avoid!
