Default Can't decide 235/70 or 255/65

I can't decide between what tire size I want and thought you guys could help. I want General Grabber AT2's since i have had them on my Subaru Outback for 2 years and absolutely love them. I have a stock disco 1 and do some wheeling but usually nothing extreme enough to need mud terrains or a lift. The truck still sits pretty high and level and i do a lot of city driving. The 255/65 run about $11 more each and say they are not rated for extreme snow but the 235's are ???. I would also like a beefer looking tire for looks but thats not as important.

Any thoughts?

with a disco on stock suspension i would recomend 235's due to no chance of rubbing& being better in snow due to width.

235/70-16 is stock tire size on a DI anyway and the 255/65 is nearly the same size. A 245/75-16 is another popular size but you would likely need some fender trimming or a mild lift.

Are you looking for a "beefy looking" tire with good snow characteristics or a snow tire? Is it out of the question to buy a set of snow tires?

Try the B.F. Goodrich AT.

just want a some good all around traction, im mostly and on roader and it doesn't snow all that much in pittsburgh anymore, but i do tend to swerve off the road and into the woods and sometimes through some pretty nasty stuff. i think im just going to get the grabbers in the 235/70 stock size and when i get another daily driver i might lift it a bit and get bigger tires. only had it a month so far so lets see how things work out before i start sinking big bucks into a rig that ill probably never even have time to play with anyway.
