Default Can't decide wheel coating - LROF will decide...

Ok so I purchased these off Ebay (they are 17"x9") and am having a hard time deciding on Hyperblack or flat black powdercoating. I am leaving up to the able minds of LROF viewers. I will be placing a poll in here so just respond to that.

Thanks Folks

Those are pretty snappy. Who makes them? I have refinished wheels with 320 grit sandpaper to buff the clear coat and Rustoleum semi gloss black.

Was told they are landrover issued. I think they were an option for certain models. The guy sold his DI years ago and was cleaning his garage and found these. I have never seen them before ebay so I don't really know much about them. the center caps have the LR logo.

What is 'Hyperblack'? It seems to me that you don't want a very glossy look; on the other hand a flat black might not suit the vehicle - it's not a 'Rat rod'.... If you look at KevinNY's semi-gloss wheel pic, it looks pretty good, not flat but not too shiney. Cheers.

I never seen 17" wheels for a D1 before. Might be hard to find tires to fit that?

Yeah I am thinking of the new Mickey Thompson MTZ's as well, looks like according to the poll the finish will remain as is for now. I just have to figure out what to do with the chrome center caps (hate chrome!!!).

SVEN I imagine the wheels were not a very well utilized option as it seems no one has seen these before.

I voted flat black but that really depends on the color of the truck some trucks just don't look good with black wheels.

Its a dark blue color and I am leaning more towards the black now that it is almost tied with the stock finish. And no I have not test fit them yet.

hmm dark blue that's a tough one if it was red or white I would say 100% black but with Dark blue, have you considered like a charcoal color?
