Default Carnegie =c) Killed my Disco Though...

just posted this in off roading..but figured i'd also throw it at the disco guys =c)

Yeah....killed it...car wont even run..thinking i got too much mud in the intake or whatnot...i'll have to check..but ended up towing the car from Carnegie(Tracy) to Concord, for a slapping $600.00
Anyhow we had alot of fun...went out like crazy...tried getting stuck, but the rover is just nuts when it comes to this..its what it was made for though...so i guess it did its job =c) anyhow so much mud in the engine bay...the radiator couldnt breathe, and i got mud inside my intake..so it wont run =c\
i have tons of video and pics, but figured i'd just show ya two...one of how the car looked, then it on the tow truck..hah...my poor baby =c(

Don't jump to conclusions too soon Toddicus. I've almost filled the engine bay with mud before now, but after a thorough clean (including the exhaust) and a new air filter, it ran just fine . Just so long as you haven't cooked the poor thing!

I don't understand your question "Burn what?"
When I said "Cooked" I meant overheated due to a blocked radiator.
I notice you are using a K&N filter. Hmmmm.
The original was designed to stop mud and water, but a K&N may not do this as well.

sorry, i meant cooked also...

well here is my situation... the car ran and drove yesterday, got it towed, next morning tried turning it over ,and it would start...it gets spark..i checked the plugs just now....so any other suggestions? i was gonna take the intake off right now..looks like an easy job....

when i say KN, i'm talking about the replacement $50.00 one...not the 250 dollar one

anything you suggest i start looking for? like i said the car drove...just maxed speed of like 25 mph, and the check engine light came on...so i turned it off..had it towed...next day i DID WASH THE ENGINE, so i MAY have damaged something that way...with a hose to get all the mud out and clean the radiator..but i am getting spark..it sounds like how a dead battery would ,but its getting spark...

Take the air filter off and try again. It may be blocked with mud.
Take all the spark plugs out and see if the engine spins over OK. Check the plugs for water / mud contamination before replacing. (Don’t stand near the open plugholes, you don’t know what may be spat out!)
Has it actually got a flat battery?
Is the spark at the plugs nice and fat? (A weak spark will go out under compression inside the engine)
The very worst case would be bent con rods due to hydraulic lock up. Symptoms may be a stiff engine and some very funny noises, or it may show up by checking the compression pressures.
