Okay I found out my cats are destroyed. There is a rattling sound coming form them. I had a major tune up and clean the engine like nuts. Then I had a massive misfire that exploded and destroyed both cats.
Now muh question is can a brotha put in like straight y pipes. If i'm saying it right. The truck doesn't lose idle but it does stumble a little and I have to like slam the gas to keep it going strong after a while the truck runs smooth. The CEL light flashes then stays on then flashes. okay heres the strange stuff dudes. When I'm offroad and the truck is bumping around. The CEL light is off and the truck is idling like so smooth no stalls or nothing then when I'm like totally regular driving the CEL comes back on and the stuff continues . does that sound like a ECU that's about to turn into a bitch or some screwy wires. I need help and fast. 96 Disco 107K miles.

First you need to find out what is going on with your engie that caused the cat damage. If they were rattling alot, then your engine has been running bad for some time. Once you get the engine issue resolved go to,
http://www.completeexhaust.com/produ...roducts_id=184 for some great prices and options on cats, they can't be beat. Mike |

Tune up Engine clean up. new vacuum hoses new MAF. I can't think of anything else but faulty valves or faulty fuel injectors. would either one of those being faulty cause the engine to run bad from time to time.

When an engine is running poorly, it takes sometime a long while before the cats will fail, so yes you may have already fixed the problem but you still need to find out why it misfired. Check your codes.
