Replaced the steeper motor and it helped a little bit, but the problem is still here, not stalling now, but the idle issue is still here.
In addition I noticed that when I rev it up and let off the gas I get a pop pop pop type sound not real loud, but still there coming through the exhaust system

Okay so driving it yesterday and everything is fine except for the fact the CE light was still on. No more idle issue though.
I went to Auto Zone and had them run the codes, well there were 9 of them in there, most were misfire codes for various cylinders, along with the 0300 and a 1178 code. So the guy said they just might need to cleared from the system. He cleared them and so far so good, no issues at all and no more CE light. Lets hope it stays this way.

John,
I got your PayPal payment. Thank you. I'm also glad to hear that the truck is ehaving. As far as the crank sensor is concerned you'd need to test it with an ohm meter to see if resistance is correct. I am not that familiar with ODDII engines but would have to imagine you'd find the test procedure in your repair manual or RAV CD. Cheers, Paul |

Well the CE light came back on, but the idle issue was gone. I had to make a decision on if it was really worth it to keep casing this problem.
So I made the choice to get rid of the Disco. I miss it already, but think in the long run it was the best choice for me. Now its time for me to really start looking at some series rovers something that I can rebuild/restore is what I am going for. You know take my time and go over it and do it right. So let the research being for me. Thanks again for all your help with trying to solve this problem ![]()

I just might have to get a hold of him, but I really want to find something I can restore you know get my hands dirty. I thinking something that I can get my son into doing as well and maybe it being a first car for him. He is only 11 so I have time
