Default Checked out another one...

Here was the ad:

1995 Land Rover Discovery 147K miles. 11K miles on rebuilt 4.6Litre Range Rover motor. "0" miles on rebuilt transmission. Good solid truck, simply have to many toys. Accesories:
1999 HSE 4.6L mtor
Rebuilt transmission
3" NWP lift
NWP roof rack
Magnaflow exhaust
Rovertym sliders
ARB bumper
Warn 9000lb winch
IPF 130W lights

I talked to him and he's the second owner with service records. The title says it was crashed (2 months after original owner purchased) This guy says that it was laid over on it's side but that was all. I'm not worried about resale value so the title doesn't bother me I just don't know if that will impact insurance as I would like to have full coverage but it isn't required since I won't have a loan.

Everything works except the front sunroof. No leaks at all the underside is completely dry.

Here are some pictures.

I would love to hear opionions on this one!!!!

Thanks,

Ray

She looks sweet, but I am not one to advise on mechanical soundness.. I am curious are those Mach 5 rims that the beast has on her. Looks like someone outfitted her to play.

Best of luck with what ever you do.

Those are not Mach 5 rims.

Looks good, only think I don't like are the chrome rims and the winch mounted upside down. The free spool lever will brake off if you hit a rock, maybe you can flip the winch around. I like the color also.

Good luck.

Those are not Mach 5's.

Looks like a 3000.00 truck.

Hey, if it's cheap and works... But a salvage title? Gotta be cheap. John's right on about the winch, but you can probably 'clock' it to move the lever.

Ah, one thing that concerns me is that there are no leaks.... it really isn't a Rover if there are no leaks.

Looks to be a great rig!!! A lot of work done to it..But if it has an "S" title the price should be low to match!

I've seen salvage titles in Oregon but this one says it's a rebuilt title. Not too sure of the difference though...

I might be wrong but I think the rebuilt title was issued after the 2nd owner purchased the salvage vehicle and repaired it. It then was taken for inspection and upon their approval (DMV) they issue a rebuilt title. I think...

I've heard that some states will not allow you to register a vehicle with a salvage title so it might be a good thing that it has a rebuilt title....

I would check with your local DMV first.
