Code P1176 on a 97 Disco I - Land Rovers Only

My Disco just turned 104,000 miles and the Check Engine light came on. I read the code with a generic reader and it is P1176 which has to do with MAF being compensated for + to the max. I haven't the slightest what this means. I do have a leaking lower oil cooler hose and wonder if it got oil on the MAF sensor. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I posted this on the Disco I Posting, but haven't gotten any replys. Thanks.

have you checked with autozone they can check codes on their computers and maybe give you a little better idea..
