Got the following codes tossed at me,
P1187 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Short Upstream
P1179 Maximum Negative AMFR Correction Fault
P1177 Maximum Negative FMFR Correction Fault
I also picked up a new Vacuum tester and a new fuel pressure tester and will be giving the truck a good go over hopefully this afternoon if the rain holds off.
Ordered a pair of front oxygen sensors and will replace them both since I'm not sure which would be bad. I found a source that has direct plug in replacements (Including the plug) for 56.69 each.
He has one left...
eBay Motors: O2 Oxygen Sensor Land Rover Discovery Range Rover 14788 (item 140259351576 end time Aug-25-08 09:08:12 PDT)
For the price, I figured I would take a shot and see how it turns out.
Also, I found a company that sells the MAS for 45.00 GBP plus £9.00 GBP shipping for a total of £54.00 GBP (about 125 bucks us)
Range Rover Discovery air flow meter sensor.ERR5595A on eBay, also, Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 27-Aug-08 15:31:29 BST)
The listing is for the exact part number listed on my original MAS (Sagem ERR 5595A) and the price was cheap enough to give it a shot. The MAS I took out of the juckyard 96 I found does seem to be working fine, but is not the exact same part. I guess it's not bad to have a spare anyways since I also bought that 98.
I'll report back on both parts, etc so other can use the information as to wether or not I get screwed...
