Default Compression Check Procedure D1 4.0

I'm off to have a look at D1 for possible purchase. My only concern with this particular vehicle is the health of the motor.

Most vehicles have at least one unique step in the procedures when it comes to checking compression, and I haven't been able to find any posts covering this procedure.

My usually reliable library carries every repair manual in haynes and chiltons catalog, but doesn't have anything for Land Rovers.

A compression test is the same for all cars. Warm up the motor, remove all the spark plugs and then do the test on each cyclinder with the throttle wide open.

A better test for the health of a motor is using a vacum guage test.
