confusing starting problem - Land Rovers Only

Can anybody help,my disco 300tdi lets me down sometimes, most of the time it starts fine then it wont start just a slight click, leave it for ten mins it starts no problems, i have checked the starter connections all are fine .

Battery? Alternator? Alignmnent of the planets?
