I notice that noone has responded to your post. I can't answer you either as I don't know what a "control unit fan timer" is. Please give much more info.

Isn't that the green relay. I think it's PRC 7413 on a RRC. It's ging to be either on one of the side walls in the footwell. I think it's under the steering column on Range Rovers. Sorry I can't be more precise but it's been awhile since I pulled one.

I'm going to run out and look at the '95 RRC I'm parting out. The dash is the same as on a D1 so I might be able to see exactly where it mounts.

It's on the passenger side foot well. I have one if you need it.
Cheers,
Paul

It's used to cycle the cooling fans in front of the rad. I've been having a problem with them cutting off and on very quickly ( the air cond is off and the engine temp is right in the middle of the gauge ) to the point that the yellow relay is getting so hot and turning color. I disconnected the relay for the winter but now that summer is coming the fans will obviously be necessary.I was told this could be caused by either a bad cuf timer or the fans were starting to go. Any input would be greatly helpful. BTW thanks for the offer but I have a replacement.
