I’m changing crankshaft rear oil seal in a 3.9L 95 Disco
#3 of the removal procedure says “remove oil seal from location” without damage to any other surfaces. Well the seal is old and it want come out! Any one knows any tricks??? ![]() |

Not sure what you mean by Cross Seals. I found trying to bang the seal in without undoing the bearing has a high risk of damaging the seal and it not going in straight. It is a mongrel of a job in the first place without having to do it a second time.
