been working on some bumpers for a while...busy winter....front is coming along very good in my eyes. It will be ready to test in Moab in a couple weeks.
still obviously have some details to iron out, but its got shape now. I'm pleased with it. the winch tray, frame brackets, and tow points are all CNC cut in a way they all key together like a puzzle so after welding they should be super strong. winch tray and frame mounting parts are cut in 1/4' steel, tow points are 3/4", and they rest (wings/front plate) are cut in 3/8" steel. just figured it's time to share the progress ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() heres some pictures of the rear bumper. In the picture the exhaust hasn't been cut and rerouted through the bumper yet, plus the tire carrier hasn't been attached. where the exhaust is routed is a bracket (not attached yet or shown in the picture) that ties the bumper to the frame. ![]() ![]() |

i like that idea, maybe on my next bumper. i would have to cut the rear crossmember to do that too. yeah i don't have a current picture of the rear bumper as mention above.....the bumper consist of a tire carrier with the hilift jack mounted horizontal.
