Question D2 Steering Wheel in D1, Is it doable or just get a new one?

Hi there all.

On a lark, got my hands on a D2 steering wheel off off eBay. It has the two tone colors that would match my faux wood interior. Now the stoopid monkey question, can I drop it in mechanically (dont worry about the electrical, i'm good) or just forget about it and get a nice Grant wood wheel instead?

BTW, dont have the factory airbag, anyone know where I could get a dead one so I can gut it for the occasion?

Wink Btw..........

Just ordered a D1 instrument panel to see if I can upgrade it to something more modern, I am thinking along the lines of the Ford Mustang instrument panel, with the multi-color LED lighting. I am also designing a LED kit for the rear pillar lights.

if interested lemme know. If there is a lot of interest, I may make a kit for sale.
