Default Decided to work on the Rover

Ok so after a couple of months of working my butt off and not having any time to play with my Rover I finally decided to just take a weekend and do some work on the Rover and help get it ready to MAR. I just recently sold my Roof rack so I needed a new place to put the hi-lift since having that thing bounce around while you're wheeling is just not much fun.

So I decided to mount it in the rear under where the rear seat would normally be. Except I don't have any seats back there. I also decided to Herculine the back of the rover and added 4 tie downs. I had to fix some rust first but it turned out pretty I think.

There is no flap that's part of the body the seats are just moved all the way forward. Normally that is hidden under the seat.

Between 1/2 - 3/4 of a gallon but I also coated my Sliders. It probably needs another coat I only did 2 and really would like 3 but my time was limited and I broke my roller handle so I decided to leave it for the time being.

how hard was it to get the carpet up and clean it? i think i want to cut some carpet so i can leave some in, (under the front seats so i don't have to take them out, and the carpet on the side of the console).

also, was there any change in noise?

Getting the carpet up is easy putting it back in would be a little harder since you would have to tuck it back under all the edges. The front carpet is not attached to the stuff in the rear. So you can leave the stuff in the front I did for now till I get bored again.

Noise it's hard to tell since my truck has been very noisy on the road since I put the M/T's on it. But I didn't really notice a difference driving up to the MAR although the back was full of camping gear which might had helped. I'm pretty happy with it.

Not at the moment. Just the one of the studs w/o the hi-lift mounted. If I remember I'll take some at some point. Although after the MAR last weekend the back is a bit dirty. But everything worked and stayed put.
