Question disco 1 drainage holes in doors

[font=Garamond][size=7][color=Black]I noticed water dripping down on to the sills below my drivers door. I pulled out the little rubber plugs and about a litre of water came out. I pulled the stoppers on the rest of the doors with the same result. Are these meant to be left in or out or should I drain them after rain. I live in Perth Western Australia so thats not to often.

Default

I live in Perth and found the same problem about 10 years ago, don't know why they were put in like that. I took them out and if I am going bush, just put masking tape across them till I get back to stop the dust or water getting in .

Default Electric windows aswell.

I think i'll use your masking tape idea they look like they would be a pain to constantly fit and remove. Probably responsible for my intermittent rear electric window problem. If you hit a bump the windows stopped working then would be ok in a couple of minutes once the water drops dried.

Default plug location

The plugs are located at the base of the doors on the inner door skin. They are about 10mm round and dome shaped there are 3 in the front and 1 in the back the rear door doesn't have them as the rear window is fixed and sealed.
