Default Disco 1 rear shocks

hey all, bought a 97' XD with 53,000 miles on it, a couple of months ago and love it. been off roading about 6 times now. When I bought my rover the previous owner had done a few things for the sale, tires, springs, shocks, and a couple of other. Recently heard a noise in the back of the vehicle, on small bumps and such, sounded like a bushing was missing, tracked it down today, the bottom of both rear shocks are loose, and I mean about 1 inch of tightening loose. I set about tightening them, and they were extremely tough to turn, then it got very easy, stud was stripped, so I am now in the market for a pair of new rear shocks. I wanted suggestions on what shocks I should buy, the new springs are stock all around, and it is possible I may be getting an Airstream travel trailer, and will pull it behind the rover , or my 1 ton van with the 155" wheelbase, which is probably the better choice anyway. I haven't looked at shocks yet before posting this, and was curious what you all think was the best choice. thanks

Default Old man emu shocks

Old Mn Emu shocks are rugged and come in stiff or soft rides. Great for load bearing. Will outlast the rover. In stock at Alanticbritish.com
Good luck

not sure what is in there now, probably the cheapest 1's availible.
But was thinking about it, and I want to try and get the old nut off, and hopefully that is what is stripped, and not the shock stud, then I can get a new nut and chase the stud threads, maybe even double nut it, make sure it stays on there.
