try and see if the mutifuntion relay on the pass side under the hood and looks like a black box about 3.5-4 " wide by 1.5 deep or thick has two plags on it unplug and reconect and see if that helps sometimes but not every time
this unit controls the fuel pump .......

hope this helps

Confirm this tidbit first before jumping on the ecu. ECU failures are not real common unless your leaving out the part where you submerged it in water.

I Jumped To An Ecu Conclusion Because My Check Engin Light Is Always On Do To A O2 Sensor, Now When I Turn The Igntion On The Check Engin Light Does Not Show At All. Plus I Have To Have The Key In The On Postion For 5-8 Sec Befor The Motor Wil Start To Crank.

Your security computer needs to be synced with your engine computer. That has to be done at the dealer using testbook. Rover had a TSB about this.
