Default Disco Demons??

OK, here is a wacky problem that surfaced over the weekend.

Took a road trip down to the Keys from Miami and after about an hour on the road my 98 Disco just shut off. Pulled over and after trying to restart the engine was able to determine that I had spark, had ignition, but no fuel. So, dug up the manual and found the fuel cut off switch, pushed it and presto I'm rolling like nothing ever happened.

Later that same day we stop to get gas, turn the key off, pulled it out of the ignition and promptly realized that the vehicle was still running! Had to pull the ignition fuse to get the thing to shut off. Same thing last night when I got home.

This morning I get up, replace the fuse, head off to work... stop to get coffee, no problem, shuts down like normal, get to work, same thing, no problem.

Can anyone explain what sort of voodoo demons lurk within my vehicle and are laughing there asses off right now at how much pure frustration they are providing me??

Hmm, you might actually have two seperate probs there...the connection on the ignition (as in the hole where the key goes) might be bad. If im not mistaken those connections are with male-female connectors and one might have come loose for some reason. As for the truck turning off while running (thats happened to me before)...check your grounds. Also, how well charged is that battery?...When John C signs on he should have some good advice for ya.
