Default Disco I - Abs - Help

Hi,
exchanged two Front Wheel Speed Sensors yesterday. One was broken. Yellow dashboard 'Lock' icon still stays on.

Where is the ABS Main Control Unit Located? Where are the Rear Wheel Sensor Plugs hidden? Can you post a pic, or is it obviuos. Would it be possible that the main unit is broken caused by the worn wheel speed sensor? What to test?

Thanks,
mike

You will probably need to have someone with a test book or auto logic scanner clear the codes.
As for the rear ABS plugs, crawl under and follow the wire to the plug assembly.

Hi,
thanks for the answer. So, If I understand correct, the main cpu locks the function upon failure of a sensor and needs to be reset? If that the case, ok, I know somebody at LR.

Thanks,
mike

Hi,
will see if the friend wants again $1,000 for repair as he wanted for the Wheel Speed Sensor. Which cost me $5 (Jack's Car parts) + 30 min work. If that's the case I drive on w/o ABS as I did the last half year :-)

Thanks for the answer,
mike

On a D1 you can read the codes by removing the ABS warning lamp relay and bridging 2 of the connections in the diagnostic socket.Sorry I cant help with the actual wire colours and the meaning of the blink codes, but it is possible - without the use of Testbook or similar. If no one on this forum can help you try one of the UK based forums.
