Discovery trailer wiring - Land Rovers Only

Perhaps someone can help me. I have a 1994 NAS Disco 1. On the flat four pin trailer wiring the white wire is not connected to anything, I have a feeling it should be the ground but I'm not sure. Anyone out there help?

I'm pretty sure it is ground, yep.

My '95 Disco was modified by the previous owner to include one of those round trailer wiring plugs, 'tis very interesting...

yes it is ground i have converted a few.
