Default drive line

Hi I just put on a new doubble cardon drive shaft and while doing so I noticed that there is about 1/2 to 1 inch of play in the front and or rear drive shaft. It that normal or is my transfer case going out? I have a 97 disco I

Thank you

The play is from where to where?
From the front diff all the way to the rear diff or what?

I'm almost sure that he means the you can move it freely with your hand for a few degrees.

I can move it on the front or the rear drive shaft. It moves from the t-case to the diff

If you're talking rotational play...yes that should be normal; if you're talking about front to back movements, then something is definately wrong there.

It's a combination of worn splines on the front diff, TC, Transmission and rear diff. It's pretty normal.
