can someone post some pictures of their window ECU and what a bad connection might look like? I might be going in for repair in a day or two, just seeing if anyone had some pictures on hand.

If it has failed, you have nothing to loose, pull it out and open it up, look fro loose solder joints, cracks and burn or hot areas. Once you find whats wrong, if you can fix it great, if not buy a new one on line, it will be alot less expense and a learning experience.

Just fixed mine this past week and it work perfect. It's a real pain to get out and I couldn't get the circut board back in perfect, but it works great and saved me a couple hundred, at least. Here is a link explaining http://www.discoweb.org/, click on "tech" and then rear electric window. Good luck.

That's funny, I didn't even realize you were up in Boone. I just moved back to Charlotte from Boone about 8 months ago. I was up there running for ZAP Fitness for about a year... Small world. On a side note my 97 discovery is even the same color as yours. Good luck with the repair.
