Default First purchase, then second...then you have too many?

And I will ask the other boards as well, but I am curious?

If you are a two person or a family Land Rover's, how long after buying the first one, did it take ou to go buy a second one? thing the first one did you buy the second?

I bought my first Disco II SE 03 in end of July 08 and I bought the second one my 1996 LR Disco I XD during the last two days if 08?

And the odd part is, is that that I would trade with any of them, I enjoy them too much!

I think I may be moving a bit fast, but I know how I am, and it has almost always worked out for me. To be very honest I wanted one of these about 4 years ago, but the ed at the time said there was no way I could justify it?? Ironically she didn't complain as much when I brought hom the frist X5 ???

I went 5 years before getting the second one, and I just bought it for parts for the first one

I decided to get a Jag rather than pick up a disco.

Ive owned mine for 2 years and love it. ive heard through the grapevine that the defender may be sold in the US when they redesign it in 2013. If so, i will be first in line. With that said I will never sell my 96 D1....or the '63 triumph spitfire. It must be something with the "king of darkness" electrical systems (lucas). What do you think Army? Hows that Jags electronics?

The electronics on the jag are really is no worse than the RRC. In some ways they are easier once you wrap your head around the fact that almost everything in the car is on it's own circuit. If I were ever to scrap the car I would make a killing on pulling all the copper wire out and selling it seperately lol.

Default It just slipped right past me!!!

Ok, I have to admit it has been one of those days, first things go right, and then in the blink they go wrong...We have all had two or three of these. And we know that usually from a stress stand point these days can scramble our brains with the rest of them.

Why am I talking about this? Well.....I signed on to look around and to maybe look uo some codes that were from my truck. And I see the "Headline: 'First purchase, then second...then you have too many?'. After seeing this post title, I thought ok I can relate to this one..I'll leave a note........DUH, Doh Duh Doh Dee!

It has just been one of those days & I don't even notice that I am getting ready to write the post, this should telll you the joyful day I have had thus far!!

Maybe, I will call myself and yell at myself for never picking up or answering the voice mails I keep leaving for myself!! "I know you're there, I can see your trucks parked in the driveway, you better answer....

I wonder if I can get a restraining order on myself too?

SDave, I was watching a video last night and the guy that was driving one of the rides was in what I believe was a "RRC". And I will be honest, there was something very interesting about it! Kind of a Thurston Howell III sort of look, but the ingenuity of the professor and overall a beautiful sort of look.

As you may have found out, via my yapping about my new of sorts toy, I recently nabbed a my 1996 Disco I XD. And I love it, but I do notice little differences between that and my 2003 Disco II. Nothing mind boggling, more of a efficacy of design and an exactness of being.

One of my favorite things about LR's is the same reason I love Porsch's as well, that they have a design that works and the continue to make that design the top vehicle of choice. (I have been known to try to create a philosophical existence in things that bring me please. You should read the one about the old Seiko watch, my ex wife loved that one. )

I honestly do not know too many cars that I would really desire to own let alone one that was a 2003 and one that was a 1996.

Pete, once you get a RRC it's considered a sickness shortly after that there will be a odd yearning for a series. This yearning has been found to be uncontrollable and the next thing you know your ebaying your first born child for the money to buy one...

My family had a new D1 in 1997.. then I got my D2 in 2003... then I bought my D-90 in 2007, and then bought my LR3 in 2008 ....

My sister also bought a freelander in 2002, and an LR3 in 2008..

And I'll be buying at least another defender in 2010 probably.

There have been rumors about defenders and diesels coming back to the states since the last ones arrived in 1997. Maybe TaTa can change that. I'm not holding my breath.
