If a defender ever comes back into the states, it will be nothing like the current one. It'll be the H2 compared to the H1, or the FJ Cruiser compared to the FJ-40...

This is kind of what spooks me in the first place! Toyota had a reasonably cool ride, and then they phuuched it up with the idea of mass marketinging! It is just my 2%, but anyime there is a mass production of a good looking ride, the car companies have to screw it up. (I live in Detroit, I hear all the talk all the time as far as how they make rides and they "Dumb them down to the masses" so that they make them all happy! Now you can say, ok then,, but Detroit wants to sell cars, but Detroit doesn't want to sell cars that look like other people's ideas. (Think I am wrong, as Diamler Chrysler, all they wanted was the Jeep, after they got that they didn't care about anything else.!)

So if it comes out of the D, it is Garbage I promise! If it has any connection with the "D" the same goes, I am really surprised that the LR stayed the way it did, "BJ" "Bill Jr." lived around the block from me and with his "Genius in charge, I am surprised we have, well......much of anything. The car game is a big political game, and if your are privy to it, you know what I am talking about! To be very honest, and this is my two cents, we are lucky we have anything thta works out of there! This is why eveverything that came from long ago was so much better!!!
