Default flat tire, duh!

hello guys,
i got my used D1 and just got a flat this evening.
i couldnt locate the tire wrench. what bolt size does a D1 use?
i couldnt get the bolts out so i can change my tire, damn it!

I think the lug wrench and the jack are under the hood somewhere. Or maybe that was a D2... worth a look. Otherwise check the owners manual.

its under one of the seats i think.

be careful, my dad actually BROKE the LR wrench trying to get a wheel off.

Thank goodness for AAA (until they found out its a ginormous lug nut--had to go back and grab the bigger tire iron)

hi guys,
yea i got the D1 used and nothing came with it and i looked at under the seat.
ill just get the socket and get a heavy duty tool to yank that thing as well. its freakin huge, hehe... Discos

Be very careful re-torquing your lug nuts.

These should not be that hard to remove unless they were put on by a gorilla using a rattle gun. Or haven't been off for a while. With my MTR's my tires are off and rebalanced (free at Discount tire) often to keep the wear even.

I think the torque spec is 90 or 100 lb./ft (or ft./lb.) never could remember that one.

105ft lbs....if I remember correctly.

I suggest using a 6pt. socket as the 12 pt. one I used damaged some of my old lug nuts.. Now I got steelies and normal lug nuts...

103 lbf.ft. or 140Nm .. at least for a D2..

The guys at the tire shop somehow managed to put them back on at something close to 300lbf.ft.

Yeah you have got to love that. Our local LR dealer did that on my wifes D2, and I am convinced that is why one of the wheel hubs went.
