The rear universal joint on my Discovery 1 Front propshaft recently decided to give up the ghost, and in the process shattered the rear yolk. I approached my local Land Rover dealer who told me that the yolk was not available as a spare part in itself, and that I would have to purchase a new propshaft for the princely sum of £200+. After picking myself up off the floor I made some investigation and found a small private company who manufactured the yolks and they were able to give me one off the shelf for £22 + vat. The propshaft has been refitted and is running like a dream. The name of the company was P & J PROPSHAFTS LTD., HILLINGTON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, PAISLEY, SCOTLAND.
