Default front running lights

I need some help to find why my running (parking) lights don't work. When I turn the switch to the running light postion the rear lights come on but not the front.they aren't coming onwith the headlights eithier, but with the indicators do work. We have replaced the headlight switch assemble b/c that was broken and replaced the fuses. Anything else we should look at. please help

this is a stupid question, but did you check the bulbs in the lamp assembly?

yes, we did check the bulbs and they do work when the indictors switch is activted. we are the second owners of this car. and do not know if all the bulbs are orginal. do you know if the front indictors are double or single filaments

good, thats what we currently have in the socket. I should have mentioned this earilier but you can hear a "click" when move the dial at the end of the switch. do you think this maybe the sign of a bad relay,and if so do you know were it located?
