Gas gauge problem - Land Rovers Only

When I'm driving my D1 anytime I turn left my gas hand goes down when I make a right my gas hand goes up this is really bothering as I filled up today and when I got home my truck was 3/4. can someone help me please or tell me what this is or could be and have u ever heard of this.

The float/sender switch in the tank is failing.
